Want to join and travel trough Europe?

Do you want to join a youth exchange with the thematic principal all about sustainable farming and waste management! And do you have the Dutch nationality or legal residence in the Netherlands? Than this project will be a great opportunity for you!

Youth Exchange

The project “No waste, more taste” is a 6 working days youth exchange in Molfetta, Italy, gathering 30 young people and 6 youth leaders from Italy, France, Lithuania, Sweden, Slovakia and Netherlands. We expect that participants will have done some research on their own countries before the Exchange takes place and will be able to make a short video-presentation on how the food waste is being tackled. The program will include workshops, debates, role games and outdoor activities with organizations and enterprises that work on the theme. There will be included visits to local farmers that practice biological cultivation techniques and practical activities with organizations that work on food sharing and food store.

The youth exchange will take place in “Casa religiosa di ospitalità San Vincenzo de Paoli”, which is an historical monument owned by the local church. You will be accommodated in rooms for 2-3 persons. The boarding house is fully equipped with toilette and shower (inside the rooms).

Bisceglie is a city located in Apulia region, on the Adriatic coast at about 35 Km northern of Bari (the capital of Apulia). It has around 55.000 inhabitants and its economy is historically based on fishing and agriculture. The earliest local signs of permanent habitation are at the Megalithic site of “Dolmen”, one of the most important of Europe. The climate is generally quiet and poor of rain.

Bisceglie has a nice historical center (the oldest part of the city) that counts many restaurants, clubs, bars, and youth centers that are very crowed during the weekend and in the evening. The city is regularly connected to the capital of Bari through railways and bus.
